Tuscaloosa By-Pass is a western bypass of the City of Tuscaloosa. It is a primary commercial trucking route that provides an alternate route for the western and northern communities to cross the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa County. Tuscaloosa By-Pass connects US 82 and I-20/I-59, as well as Highway 171, 43, 69N and 69S. This is the fastest route to the interstate highways.
Traveling north, take exit 68 on I-20/I-59 for Joe Mallisham Pkwy. Traveling south, turn onto Boon Blvd for Joe Mallisham Pkwy. See the map here.

Our plaza is designed to accommodate commercial trucks with wide roadways and easy access outside lanes for Freedom Pass and Best Pass transponder use. We are interoperable with Best Pass, 6C transponders, and all toll bridges in Alabama.
